A ton of sketch and CAD work to do today, and the day started with an early-morning wakeup text from my sister, telling me that our grandma is heading home after a surgery for a blood clot, my aunt is getting her a hospital bed, and my dad is going to stay with her this week.
I’d planned on going in March to visit her and other family, but obviously that shit went out the window. Thankfully my daughter got to meet her once, but I’m so, so pissed that we didn’t get to go in March/April, and now the window’s closed. Gram’s 96, and the toughest human being you’re likely ever to meet, but after a couple of surgeries this spring, she’s just tired.
Seems pretty frivolous to be doodling a car this morning, but I guess you go with what you know.

I’m sorry to hear about your G ram. She sounds like a fighter though, so I hope you’ll get another opportunity to go see her.

She’s the toughest mofo out there. But, yeah. Sounds like this is it.

Please don’t feel this way. We all cope differently.

I actually have to do work that involves sketching today
, so, when you have to warm up the arm/hands, and remember how to draw, you just draw whatever.
It’s a really weird gig. And having to produce when shit goes sideways seems to be the story of my life.
